West yawned, smirking to himself as he flipped the page of the newspaper on his lap. The lobby was quiet, it was early afternoon and everyone was outside enjoying the sun or eating lunch. West enjoyed the lobby, almost as much as he enjoyed the beach. At least when it was relatively quiet. The articles were sort of lame and he really hated constantly reading about politics and arguments between parties and junk. It was not really his cup of tea. Neither was tea now that he thought of it, his mug of scotch and coke was much more to his tastes, a fitting lunch for a man on a mission. Well, not so much a mission as a good time.
Marriage was not all it was cracked up to be. Sure, the first year was great, all everyone would have thought. Infatuation to the extreme. But as the second year passed West started to feel tied down, and disliked it. He hated getting looks when he flirted, or when his friends swapped stories about their latest pieces of ass. And him? He was stuck with Ava. Not that there was anything wrong with her... Just the attachment. Last time he'd been in Miami had been just one long time of action. Hence his return. Besides, he'd told Ava he was going to New York for business with his agent, Miami would be the last place anyone would look... If they were suspicious.
He lifted his mug and took a slow draught of the liquid, closing the newspaper before tossing it onto the table ahead. His feet were propped on the table and as he looked up and caught the eye of one of the hotel's room service girls and winked once before lowering the mug to the table beside his foot. Before he swallowed however, the liquid got caught in his throat as he choked on it. There, ahead (ironically lit up by sunlight streaming through the window) was his wife. He choked down the alcohol and rolled off the couch seat to the floor, and scampered off his knees to his feet. He aimed for the elevator, trying to keep his head down, only to stop short as he ran right into a doorman. "Sorry." He grunted as the man dropped an armful of luggage. He ran a hand through his hair and backed away. He flipped around to face the other way only to find himself closer to Ava. He grabbed a newspaper from the nearest table and leaned against the wall, pushing his sunglasses onto his face in one last attempt to remain hidden.

a business trip. that had been what he had said. west has told ava about a business trip to new york that he would have to take. of course she had nothing to say about that. she had been on several business trips lately and she knew all about the boring routine of those. the only problem? the plane ticket she had found was one for florida. sketchy, right? ava knew exactly where she was going a few days later after discovering the plane ticket. not to catch in in any kind of act or anything. it was more to put herself at ease once again. she didn't want to think that west had possible stopped loving her when she hadn't. the blond adored him and was happy being married. after all, it really wasn't something that a person would want to admit anyways. it had only been four years. at least when her parents 'fell out of love' it had been after several decades.
the luxury car she currently rode in slowly came to a stop which was ava's cue to grab her things; her phone that was neatly tucked in between her thigh and the seat, her purse off the floor, and her sunglasses that rested at the top of her head were pulled over her eyes. she really didn't have to worry much about the papz but it was just in case. plus it'd be kind of nice to be sure that she wasn't going to get recognized at all. she loved her fans and all but it was probably best to keep a rather low profile at the moment. if word got out to the press than it was bound to make some celebrity tabloid and that would just give her away completely and that was the last thing she needed. within seconds her door was opened by the driver and she was out of the vehicle. ava took a look at her surroundings while her bags were being unloaded from the trunk. she just loved miami.
after checking in and getting settled in her suite, ava decided to roam around the resort for a little while. just to check out what was happening around the place. a bite to eat at the cafe and a mini trip to the spa was enough to relax the girl. the sound of things dropping caught her attention once she was in the lobby again. 'well this was easier than i thought.' ava mumbled as she saw the exact person she was looking for. west stood against a wall, sunglasses on and all. sunglasses inside? lame. a short walk later avalynn stood before the man, pulling the newspaper from his hands. "well, please correct me if i'm wrong but i'm pretty sure new york is on the other end of the coast." she said teasingly. a smirk graced her lips. sneaking around was definitely not something that she was good at, but avalynn would have liked to think that at this moment she was doing a pretty good job at it.

West hadn't exactly been under the impression that he wasn't going to get caught. But he had hoped, begged any god above that Ava wouldn't have seen him. But of course, that was shown to be neigh impossible when the paper was ripped from his grasp. He blinked slowly and forced a grin to his face. Before he could come up with some sort of excuse for anything, Ava spoke. He physically relaxed. She was teasing him, if she had known about why he was in Miami, he would highly doubt she'd be teasing. He could work with this... Maybe... Lying had become his forte in the last couple years. He pulled off his glasses, letting them hang by one arm from the front of his shirt.
"Hey baby," He purred, leaning forward to peck her cheek. He pulled the newspaper from her hand and tossed it aside onto the table. "Well, New York is on the other side of the coast. But John was here, so there was a change in plan. I was going to call you but I lost my phone on the plane." He lied smoothly, wincing a little. He shoved his hand in his pocket, wriggling his wedding band back onto his finger before pulling the hand out again. It was a smooth action, one that came with ease simply because he covered it my pulling his pack of gum out too. He popped a piece in his mouth then arched a brow towards his wife.
"What are you doing here?" He asked her, trying to sound innocently curious. Truth was he was suspicious and nervous. He wasn't sure his plans were going to work out as well as he'd hoped with Ava there... I could always just distract her with the spa... He thought to himself. There was no way he was going to let her being there ruin every plan he had. He just had to be careful.
